CLASS 7 MOT TESTS

The Class 7 MOT test covers:

• Goods Vehicles (over 3000kg up to 3500kg DGW)

We know it doesn't earn you any money when your Van's off the road. That’s why at Dowleys we offer a while you wait MOT which you can take during a lunch break or at the end of the day. Our last MOT slot is 4.15pm from Monday to Friday, so you can drop off your van at the end of the day and wait for it to be serviced. Otherwise, you can collect it the next working day and on Saturdays until 12:30 am.

If your van fails its MOT and requires further repairs, we will do our best to ensure minimal disruption to your working day.

Part of our ongoing service to our customers is a friendly reminder when your MOT is due so you can rest assured your vehicle is always up to date with its MOT.

Did you know your MOT check can be carried out up to 1 month before its expiry date? Yes, given that a current MOT certificate is presented to the examiner at the time of the test, effectively providing you with a 13 month MOT. After passing the MOT test, the vehicle will receive a new certificate valid from the date the current MOT certificate expires.

MOT tests while you wait

The MOT test usually takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour. At Dowleys, there are comfortable waiting areas with refreshments and free Wi-Fi, where you can watch our mechanics working on your vehicle via the television. Dowleys Garage is proud to be the first MOT station in Oxfordshire providing this facility to its customers.

Free MOT re-test

The majority of MOTs conducted at Dowleys MOT & Service Centre pass the test first time. However, often some remedial works are needed to get the MOT passed. If your car fails the MOT, we'll advise you of the necessary repairs and provide you with a quotation. Whether you want us to proceed with the repairs, carry them out yourself or take your vehicle elsewhere, it is entirely your decision. In case your car fails the MOT, we offer a free MOT RE-TEST, if it's performed within 7 days of the original test. This re-test is free even if the repairs haven't been carried out at Dowleys.

Free courtesy car

If your vehicle fails the test and you need to leave it with us for a longer period of time, we will provide you with a courtesy car, free of charge.
