Alvestock Music Festival will take place on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th July 2023 and Dowleys are delighted to be supporting this local event!
A fun-filled musical weekend in the heart of the British countryside, with a lively mix of both international and local musicians & DJs.
Why Alvestock? Alvescot is a beautiful village on the edge of the Cotswolds between Burford and Bampton. This year’s recipient of our festival’s profits will be a project very close to home. Our church, St Peter’s, is nearly a thousand years old and is a Grade II* listed National Heritage Building and represents a community centre for all the village. Sadly 12 months ago major problems were discovered with the roof beams, making it structurally unsafe forcing it's closure. The Church is running a concerted fundraising campaign and the repairs are underway but proving costly. The music festival will raise much needed additional funds and we are looking for your help to get this beautiful historic building open again.
