Villagers fill local potholes with rubber ducks
Last week residents of Steeple Aston put rubber ducks in potholes to protest against the terrible condition of local roads, when they became filled with water following heavy rainfall.
Oxfordshire County Council denied the potholes are a threat to motorists' vehicles, residents are, however, thinking differently. Around 100 ducks, previously used in a charity event, were donated by Parish Councillor Martin Lipson.
Oxfordshire County Council have released the following statement: "While the issues raised don't represent a safety problem we do recognise that the road there is in a particularly poor state.
