THE WATERCRESS COMPANY AND THE WASABI COMPANY CHOOSE THE GREAT WALL STEED
The Watercress Company and The Wasabi Company are two businesses that joined forces to create a salad production business. Growing over 100 tons of the highest quality watercress, baby leaf salads and wasabi (Japanese mustard), the products are sold throughout the UK and Europe.
Managing Director Tom Amery of The Watercress Company gave an insight into why they chose the Steed.
What are the Great Wall Steed’s used for?
Mostly managers within the business use the trucks to drive over unsteady, off-road terrains in order to get to the growing fields on a daily basis.
Why opt for the Great Wall Steed?
We chose it due to the exceptional price, practicality and the trucks light weight.
How did the test drive go?
Well - after test-driving a Great Wall back in 2013, the company decided that it met all the requirements of the business. Since driving the truck in 2013 we've bought five Steeds.
Tom claimed that the Steed’s fuel-economy is, “Comparable than other vehicles we have used in the past, and possibly 8-10% better”.
Managing Director Tom would definitely recommend Great Wall to other businesses.
